She has figured out a way to use Pinterest to grow her business 3x’s and quit her full time job by using Pinterest to book and find new clients. There is so much great advice packed into our chat. You will need a notebook to write down all the notes. This is one of my favorite podcast episodes ever!

One of the best app’s to get the most out of Pinterest for auto posting your images is Tailwind. I have been using this app for a few months now and blown away how easy it is to use. By posting images at the right times predicted by Tailwind has increased my engagement dramatically and how many new followers I’ve gained in a few short months. It’s amazing and MUST have app in my opinion!!

Wedding Detail Styling Kit Favorites for Wedding Photographers

As another wedding season ends, I wanted to share some of new finds and favorites from my updated wedding styling kit. Every year I’m always on the look out for new styling items to help elevate my detail photos for my couples. I found some incredible new styling mats that fold up and easy to carry, the perfect pretty hanger to hang brides wedding dress, and so many velvet ring boxes at incredible prices, you will scoop them ALL up. Wedding Detail Styling Kit for Wedding Photographers

No. 1 - Styling Mats - A friend of mine shared her new obsession with Jrd Art Shop’s one of kind hand-painted Styling Mats. When I saw them, I fell hard too! She makes them in very small batches every few months, so sign up for her mailing list and follow her on IG to be in the know the when the next batch drops. They go QUICK!!

No. 2 - Brass Round Plates - I feel like brass is making a come back into my styling kits and I’m in LOVE with this tiny brass round plates from Heirloom Bindery. I ordered them at the Black Friday Sale and saved 25% which made them a little less expensive. They are so cute and going to get a lot of use next season!

No. 3 - Brass Wax Seals - I found a few of these at my favorite paper store in Rhinebeck but you can pick them up here, here, and here. I have been loving them in my flat lay styling as they are small enough to fit in my kit and bring a bit of elegance to each flat lay!

No. 4 Anthropologies French Market Hangers - How many times have you shown up to a brides getting ready location to only find out that she doesn’t have a pretty hanger that HOLDS the DRESS for you to use? Several years ago I brought along my trusty light wooden hanger with GROOVES (so important!!) which helped me out in many situations. This year, I lost my hanger so I decided to upgrade to this gorgeous antique looking hanger from Anthropologie. It’s usually sold out but they are back in sock. They come in Gold, Copper, and Silver.

No. 5 - Velvet Ring Boxes are my jam. Oh man, I love them so much but they are expensive so when I found these gorgeous velvet octagon ring boxes on Amazon, I nabbed them up! I like the Single Velvet Octagon Ring Boxes and the Double Octagon Ring Boxes. They are very well made for the price and since they are so well priced, you can stock up in as many colors you need. Love that!

No. 6 - Silk Ribbon Swatch Kits - why didn’t anyone think of this sooner? Do you know how many spools of ribbon I have in my kit only to use about a yard or less? When I found these hand dyed silk ribbon swatch kits, I was so excited! They offer a few different shade ranges and for styling your detail flat lays you only need a bit of ribbon. These are perfect!!

No. 7 - Antique Inspired Grey Tin Styling Tray - This tray is adorable and so light and easy to store in your wedding detail styling kit. You can use it to style the shoes, invites, rings, and boutonnières.

My Fave Business Books You Need to Read!

One of my goals for 2018 that followed me into 2019 was to read a book a month. I went for a few years without reading a SINGLE book and that was pretty shocking. So, I decided to change that and each month I read a new book to help my business and self growth. In today’s brand new Tea with Jainé IGTV video, I wanted to share three favorite business, marketing, and self help books that are making a great impact on my life. Everything is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo

No 1 - Building a Story Brand by Donald Miller - I read this book from cover to cover within three days and absolutely LOVE this book. It’s a clear and helpful guide for you to figure out what your Brand story really is and how to create marketing content that connects with your ideal client. There is a lot o f homework in this book so be prepared with a pen and paper. I purchased a softcover copy from Amazon after borrowing it from the library because I wanted to have it on hand with me at all times to refer too. So happy I did that because I read it all the time!

No. 2 - Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis - It’s no secret how much I loved Girl, Wash Your Face that came out last year. That book TRULY changed my life, my mindset, and the pat of my business. Girl, Stop Apologizing is the follow up to that book that gives you the hands-on tangible tips to get your stuff DONE and get your life moving in the right direction. You can also pick up the Audio Book if you’re busy and want to listen on the go!

No. 3 - Everything is Figureoutable by Marie Folero - All I’m going to say is HECK YES I love this book so much! Marie is a powerhouse coach for women and I love everything she represents and teaches. This book is so powerful it’s going to make you do the hard work to get past your fears, face your dreams, and start making them happen. Everything is Figureoutable is literally my new mantra because in the end, it ALL is capable even if you don’t know it yet. You can grab the Audio version here too.

Each of these books speaks to different sides of my life and business that I want to grow and explore. As a wedding photographer, small business owner, defining my “Brand” is something I was never taught - so having a book to help me figure that out with crystal clear clarity is so helpful. I love Rachel and Marie so much because these strong women are helping other women like myself, embrace who they are, own their past, and determine their OWN future. I would not be here without Girl, Wash Your Face and Crushing It by Gary Vaynerchuk and for that, I am forever grateful. I hope you pick one or all of them up and enjoy them too!
